This site is built by a trained yoga teacher and yoga practitioner and one of the key tenets of yoga is a practice of non-violence or ahimsa.

When we begin a practice of non-violence, we first begin with our outward actions. This looks like not saying or doing anything that would hurt other people, for example through physical violence or cussing people out (I mean for no reason: let’s be realistic.)

Then, you might turn your attention inward and think, “okay what are the ways in which I’m hurting myself?” This could be through actively harming with negative coping strategies, or it could be more passive like a poor diet or bad exercise regime.

And then, you might start to consider all the ways that you unknowingly cause harm to people or other beings by buying things that are made by kids in sweatshops (which we have assurance none of our manufacturers do, PHEW) or harm animals or the environment.

And finally, on your journey to total yogi-godhood, you would only think nice thoughts. (eek)

Vegan clothing here at You Seek Yoga is made ethically where all workers along the supply chain are paid a living wage, and no animals are harmed or enslaved in the production. All the dyes are vegetable dyes and skin-safe; meaning no harm will come to you from the dyes in our fabrics. It’s a mixture of idealism and commercialism, and it’s our hope that one day this will be the norm for ALL retailers so we can shop to our hearts content.

One thing at a time though, and making a purchase here is just taking a little step in a positive direction for everyone.

Love
